Starting a new project
We welcome new projects, and are happy to offer Trac and version control instances to people who want to start new projects related to or based on the CentOS distribution. At the moment we have Subversion and Mercurial available, however git can also be setup.
In order to start a project, send a request email to the centos-devel list (url) stating clearly what the goals of the project are going to be.
Notes
projects.centos.org uses a self signed certifiate and runs all services on https:// connections only. The first time you connected, you might see a notice from your browser or from svn saying that the certificate could not be verified, you should be fine to just accept that and move on.
