A one day sysadmin centric learning and sharing experience

The CentOS Dojo's are a one day event, organised around the world, that bring together people from the CentOS Communities to talk about systems administration, best practices in Linux-centric activities and emerging technologies of note. The emphasis is to find local speakers and tutors to come together and talk about things that they care about most, and to share stories from their experiences working with CentOS in various scenarios.

In this talk we'll see how you can manage selinux with your cfgmgmgt solution (we'll cover Ansible and Puppet).We'll see how to modify contexts/booleans but also build and distribute custom selinux policies on your managed nodes

preparing for systemd: SystemD is coming in CentOS-7; this talk will act as a guide to onboarding from the previous init systems used in CentOS4/5/6 onto some of the new features including cgroup integration, templating of unit, creation of unit, configuration override, automated restart, journalctl and various security features like private tmp, private networking.

SELinux is your friend: A guide to the concept of Mac Vs Dac, labels and how best to use them, concept of AVC along with examples, boolean and modularity of SELinux and finally SELinux in permissive mode as a softer approach to disabling SELinux overall.

It's web and system based application with a lot of external dependencies. This talk is about how application packaging is done and how packagers manage to workaround CentOS "very LTS" issues (outdated & missing packages).
