I'm a relatively member of the CentOS community who has come in via the new relationship with Red Hat. At Red Hat I work in the Open Source and Standards team as the manager for the Community Infrastructure and Platform team, which CentOS Engineering is part of. In this role I helped design the plan and lead the project that brought this relationship together.
Since 2003 I've been involved in open source projects, most often through working in the Fedora Project. Currently, I'm a Fedora Ambassador and occasionally dabble in Infrastructure. I'm a former Docs Project leader and Fedora Board member.
For the CentOS Project and Red Hat I have a few roles, worth clarifying a bit:
I'm a Governing Board member, which is subject to the process of open governance and my merit in the project.
I'm the Red Hat liaison on the Board.
- This role requires me to be employed at Red Hat, but it's the CentOS Governing Board that decides who actually is the liaison. This role doesn't give me additional leadership responsibilities, it's more about brokering requests between the CentOS Project and Red Hat, when needed.
- I like to work on documentation.
