CentOS Education SIG

SIG Status: Getting Ideas together, not-yet proposed.

1. Goals

To provide an easy but complete installation base, curated content set, managed workflows around building a computing desktop and server environment for class room and general education/academic needs for schools, universities and associated facilities. Aim to do this on CentOS Linux, by additional layered content, to as to build upon the established stable base already known and trusted in these environments.

2. Deliverables

1. Different ISO media that contains:
   1. CentOS Linux
   2. Additional rpms that are needed for this audience
2. Wiki content that is focused around getting started with and managing resources in an Education environment
