I have been involved with the Open-source community for almost 20 years now, including:

• Contributing to 386BSD - yes, the precursor to OpenBSD and FreeBSD.
• Writing the first JDBC Driver for PostgreSQL
• Contributing a virtual hosting system to an early alternative to Sendmail (MMDF)

Nowadays, I work for Splunk developing apps for the Splunk platform, and am developing a cloud concept that I hope to turn into a profitable business.
