A one day sysadmin centric learning and sharing experience
The CentOS Dojo's are a one day event, organised around the world, that bring together people from the CentOS Communities to talk about systems administration, best practises in linux centric activities and emerging technologies of note. The emphasis is to find local speakers and tutors to come together and talk about things that they care about most, and to share stories from their experiences working with CentOS in various scenarios. |

Registrations are now closed for the event.
Agenda and Speakers
The day long event starts at 9:00am and closes by 6:00pm, at which point we will all head into the Fosdem Drinks sessions. The morning session will run from the single larger capacity room. Over the lunch break, this room will be split into Track 1 and 2, each with a capacity of about 60 people. The hackathon will run from a third room, available to us only after the lunch break.
Once the sessions are over, we will meet in the larger room for thanks and general chit chat before heading into Fosdem drinks sessions around Grand Place.
We have been trying to locate and ship in video equipment to record this dojo, but have been unable to find suiteable resources at short notice. If anyone can help, please get in touch with KaranbirSingh asap.

Hackathon
We are organising a 'CentOS in the Cloud' Hackathon at the same time. The focus is going to be on Creating, Testing and releasing CentOS Cloud images.

People attending this Hackathon are expected to bring their own laptops, and ensure they are able to join the WiFi network detailed in the graphic above. Also ensure that you have git ver > 1.7.1 and are aware of the basic git operations.
We will have mirrors for CentOS-5 and 6 on 32bit and 64bit x86 architecture, along with EPEL for the same releases. We will also aim to have rhel7b1 mirrors for testing / building against.

GlusterFS Overview and Roadmap: GlusterFS 3.4 is the latest version of GlusterFS, with 3.5 in beta and due for release soon. One of the major features of 3.4.x is the QEMU integration and libgfapi. This will significantly increase the scope of possible use cases for GlusterFS. With the QEMU integration, we’re bypassing FUSE and going through the new C library, libgfapi. In this talk, we'll discuss which use cases are best for GlusterFS, best practices for usage, and how to get started. |
